Keeping pace with trends in degree completion is essential for making informed decisions about academic programs. Below you’ll see data from the Annual Survey of Colleges reflecting the change in the proportion of students who graduated with a first degree in the respective major categories in 2012 versus 2021.

A slightly higher proportion of students earned Physical and Environmental Science and Human Services degrees in 2021 than in 2012. However, Engineering and Technology saw the most growth at 5%.

The percentages of students who earned Business and Marketing and Vocational and Technical degrees remained flat over the 10-year period.

The percentage of students earning Art and Architecture, Liberal Arts, and Social Science degrees fell by 1%, 3%, and 3%, respectively.
